Mary is Chair of Food Marketing and Society at the University of Edinburgh Business School.

She is Co-Applicant for PHIRST Elevate.

Her research interest include:

• Communication of food risk
• Social marketing, food and behavioural change
• The interface between the domestic environment and everyday food practices
• Understanding why the public engage in “risky” food practices
• Sustainable food production, procurement and consumption
