Professor Kelvin Jordan is a Professor of Biostatistics within the School of Medicine at Keele University. His research focuses on the epidemiology of common conditions in primary care with a specific interest in research using electronic health records. He has extensive experience of use of primary care datasets such as CPRD. He has also been lead statistician for several cohort studies which link self-reported data to medical records with consent of research participants.

Within electronic health records research he is interested in methods to investigate the burden (incidence, prevalence, impact) of health conditions over time, and prognosis studies including how patterns of symptoms and health care use can be used to monitor chronic conditions and predict longer-term outcomes.

His research has focused primarily in musculoskeletal conditions but he also has interests in measuring and predicting progression of dementia and the outcomes of non-cardiac chest pain presented to primary care.
